Portia Adjei-Mensah Esq
Associate Attorney
Portia Adjei-Mensah is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana with particular interests in corporate and commercial law, mining law, and energy law.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the premier university of Ghana, the University of Ghana (Legon), a Master of Arts degree in Conflict, Peace and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), and a Qualifying Certificate (QCL) from the Ghana School of Law.
Shortly after her call to the Ghana Bar, Portia underwent her pupillage at Blagogee, Blacksword, and Co., where she garnered extensive knowledge and experience in corporate law, transactional law, litigation, legal research, and compliance. Prior to that, she worked at the Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice where she also gained a wealth of experience in the legal field.
Portia is a hardworking, dependable, and driven young lawyer with the hunger to learn and constantly evolve in her career. This is reflected in the several internships she has undertaken, including international internships with Magic Circle law firms Allen & Overy and Clifford Chance. She is also a student of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), London.
In her free time, she loves to read, cook, and spend time with her family.
Portia is a member of the Ghana Bar Association.
